The Mardi Himal Yoga Trek offers a serene escape into the Himalayas, combining the tranquility of yoga with stunning mountain views in Nepal’s Annapurna region. Starting from Pokhara, the trail meanders through lush rhododendron forests, terraced fields, and culturally rich Gurung and Magar villages, offering peaceful riverside paths and secluded camps. Away from crowded trails, this journey provides awe-inspiring views of peaks like Annapurna, Machhapuchre, and Mardi Himal. With daily yoga sessions in these breathtaking surroundings, this trek transcends physical adventure, fostering a deep connection with nature and a profound sense of inner peace.
(Note: You will enjoy 4-star accommodations in Kathmandu and Pokhara, along with cozy tea house accommodations during the trekking period.)
Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu
Welcome to Nepal! Whether you’ve just arrived in Kathmandu or are already settled, we’re thrilled you’ve chosen the Mardi Himal Trek with Vajra Adventure. Upon arrival, we’ll transfer you to your hotel or hostel, where you can relax and acclimate to your new surroundings—taking this first day to unwind and prepare for the incredible journey ahead.
Day 2: Yoga, Preparation, and Sightseeing in Kathmandu
Begin your day with a refreshing yoga session to rejuvenate both body and mind. Afterward, our team will assist you in preparing for the trek, ensuring you have all necessary gear. Spend the day exploring iconic Kathmandu sites such as Durbar Square, Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple), Pashupatinath Temple, and Boudhanath Stupa. Conclude the day with a calming sound healing session, offering a peaceful moment to relax and reflect on your experiences.
Day 3: Yoga, Flight to Pokhara, and Sightseeing
Begin the day with an invigorating yoga session, setting a positive tone for your body and mind. After breakfast, we’ll board a scenic flight to Pokhara. Once there, discover the city’s gems, including the serene Shanti Stupa, the mesmerizing Devi’s Falls, and the intriguing Mahendra Cave. End the day with a tranquil boat ride on Fewa Lake, taking in the breathtaking mountain views.
Day 4: Morning Yoga, Drive to Kande, and Hike to Lovely Hill
Begin day four with a revitalizing morning yoga session to awaken your body and mind. After breakfast, take a brief drive to Kande, where the trek begins and the majestic Himalayas come into view. From Kande, set off on a scenic four-hour hike to Lovely Hill, surrounded by the awe-inspiring beauty of nature along the way.
Day 5: Morning Yoga and Trek to the Rest Camp
Start your day with an early morning yoga session, enjoying beautiful mountain views. After breakfast, begin a 5- to 6-hour trek from Lovely Hill to the rest camp. This hike provides a great chance to connect with nature and take in the stunning scenery around you.
Day 6: Morning Yoga and Trek to High Camp
Start your day with a peaceful morning yoga session and stunning mountain views. After a filling breakfast, begin your 5 to 6-hour trek from the rest camp to High Camp. When you arrive, enjoy breathtaking views of the Annapurna range and relax in the cozy tea house with tasty local meals. As night falls, admire the star-filled sky before settling in for a restful night, preparing for the adventures to come.
Day 7: Sunrise Hike and Yoga at Upper Viewpoint
Today is the main highlight of the trek! You’ll wake up early to hike to the upper viewpoint for breathtaking sunrise views of the Mardi Himal and Annapurna ranges. As the sun rises, the snow-capped peaks, including Mardi Himal (5,553m), Annapurna I (8,091m), and Machapuchre (6,997m), will come into view. After soaking in the stunning scenery, enjoy a yoga session in this beautiful setting. Then, trek back to High Camp for lunch before continuing to Badal Danda. End the day with a relaxing evening yoga session and stay overnight at the teahouses in Badal Danda.
Day 8: Morning Yoga and Descent to Kalimity Village
Start your day with an early morning yoga session amid breathtaking mountain views, helping you feel refreshed and connected to nature. After your practice, enjoy a delicious breakfast to fuel your hike. Once you're ready, begin your descent to Kalimity village, which will take about 5 to 6 hours. As you trek down, enjoy the beautiful landscapes and charming local scenery, making this journey a memorable part of your adventure.
Day 9: Morning Yoga and Return to Pokhara
Begin your day with a refreshing morning yoga session. Afterward, take a Jeep back to Pokhara. Once you arrive, relax and explore the lakeside while enjoying local food. You’ll have a comfortable place to stay in Pokhara for the night.
Day 10: Yoga, Flight to Kathmandu, and Sound Healing
Start your day with your usual yoga session. Afterward, head to the airport around 10 or 11 o’clock for your flight back to Kathmandu. Once you arrive, you’ll have time to shop for gifts for your family. In the evening, unwind with a sound healing session to relax and reflect on your journey.
Day 11: Final Departure
